I am so excited for year 5 at Ronald Reagan Elementary and being a part of this amazing staff!!  I have worked for the Corona Norco School District for 13 years, and I am looking forward to having another fantastic year in 1st grade!! I have also taught many years in kindergarten at Rosa Parks Elementary, and 2nd grade at Clara Barton, so one could say I know what to expect from your student coming into 1st grade and what they need to be successful in 2nd grade.

On a personal note, I am a true adventurer and love to hike, scuba dive, travel, camp, and participate in any outdoor activities.  I have three grown children who grew up in this school district and are very successful individuals.  The only baby at home now is my dog who is my sidekick in all activities.  Your student will probably come home with many stories about my dog, and we both love to attend student's outside activities, so please let me know their schedules, for I would love to come!! Students will also come home learning many fun songs, chants, and dances because I love music and incorporate it into learning....hence this is why they call me the singing and dancing teacher :)

 

I look forward to being a part of your students learning and being their advocate to become a professional learner.  I have and set high expectations for my students and have learned that they love to meet these expectations when I have established a strong meaningful relationship with each student.  I want to be their teacher, but I also want to be their cheerleader and guide through this learning process so they know I am invested in them, so they need to invest in their learning also!!  I look forward to getting to know each one of you and your students.
